    Our English Synopsis

 1. Audio Culture

    (Editorial Notes)

 2. Soundservice

Space for those desiring to inquire, needing advice, wishing to
comment or argue or even to advertize.

 3. The Tail of the Black Cat

    (The Criteria of High Fidelity)
It is very much like chasing a black cat in a darkened room... Last
time we were trying to convince the reader not tu trust anything or
anyone when choosing a Hi-Fi set. This time however we attempt to show
some of the surefire (?) criteria of High Fidelity.

 4. Classics in Pop Rhytm

One hears the opening accords of a symphony in the radio or tv, and
after the promising beginning a synthetizer appears in four tact. This
genre is gaining a steady foothold. Neither fish nor fowl, not serious
for serious music and uninteresting for pop.

 5. Basic Library

    No. 5: Mozart's symphonies.

 6. Recording Sheet

    Review, criticizm.

 7. FM-Calendar

Live concerts via our tuners till summer.

 8. The Yellow Brick Road

    (Press digest)

 9. Playmate of the Month: Aiwa AD-F990 tape deck

How does the top of the line Aiwa compare to reel-to-reel. The
interesting point is the fact that Aiwa cassette decks are available
in the Hungarian market, of course only the inexpensive line.

10. Advantage of the Reception

This article deals with radio broadcasting, aerials and boosters.

11. 180 Degree Turnabout

    (Absolute Phase)
After all that mystical occurances now it is the Absolute Phase...
(Attention: this is not about correct polarity. The opposite of
Absolute Phase is Relative Phase which can be attained when
simultanously changing "+" and "-" poles of both channels.) It is to
underline that Absolute Phase is audible and easily so on any kind of
    program.

12. Presenting

the RFT mini components, the Akai (VT) HX-A3 tape deck, the Visonik
DC-70 and Orion HS 282 speakers.

13. Wet Goods

It's time to check the wet record cleaning devices. The LencoClean
turned out to be a disaster but you can get rid of its effect using
other fluids e.g. the ones that make thin film coating on the record
surface which can be removed if it is dry.

14. MOD: the Potemkin Case

Turntables tend to sound better without their dust covers and even
their cases (!). Now the question is how to neglect the base and have
it at the same time. Our guinea pig, as usual, is the NAD 5120.

15. Between Takes

    (Forecast)
