Our English Synopsis 1. Audio Culture (Editorial notes) Wonderings about the spiritual kinships of an audio newspaper and its editors: engineers? sales people? reviewers? possibly even instrument makers! The crux of our work: helping to perfect the instruments which are capable to reproduce the sound of not only one instrument but an entire symphonic ensemble with its totality within the bounds of living rooms. 2. Soundservice Space for those desiring to inquire, needing advice, wishing to comment or argue or even to advertize. 3. The result of our poll 4. Music Within Our Ears Following our articles on the acoustics of instruments and concert halls we are attempting to treat the most mystical element of this science: psychoacoustics. We will have several chapters on the subject without even to trying to complete it. We are most interested in the method i. e.: could tenets of classical acoustics directly apply to High Fidelity - and if yes why not? 5. Recording sheet Reviews, criticism. 6. Questions By The Dozen to Tibor Erkel the new musical director of the Hungarian Radio. His plans, his views on music and its programming. Our conversation is particularly interesting in light of the recently introduced second stereo broadcast of the Hungarian Radio (it's very promising for our audiophiles). 7. The Land of Promise Seing no real Hi-Fi Collection in the shops, the Hungarian audiophile places all his trust in the manufacturer's annual promises due the Budapest International Fair. 8. István, the King (About a new hungarian musical) 9. What's A Tape Deck For? We will treat anything in this article that can be done with a deck or home studio: recording, copying, dubbing, diaporama. 10. The Yellow Brick Road (Press digest) HiFi Stereophonie, Hi-Fi News & Record Review, Hi-Fi Answers, Audio. 11. The Golden Turkey Awards Foundation of the Hi-Fi News & Record Review for the most awkward equipments ever made 12. Analog Counter Digital In our recent issue we introduced the Pioneer CD-player in Hifi Magazin and its color poster. The great sensation of our present issue-a real sensation by domestic standards-the digital tape deck by Technics, the SV-P1OO. Adding special spice to the story in fact we managed to lay our hands on the best analog deck of Technics as well (RS-1700) . This way we could compare the two sets. 13. Journey Around The Record Player The article deals with the so called secondary parameters and their subjective effects: lateral and vertical tracking error, mats, differences within the same type of cartridges and the quality of various combinations of the same main parts. Our most important info is a series of test which proves and credibly so, that the effect of the lateral tracking error is virtually inaudible for the human ear - at least via our Hi-Fi of good but not High End quality. 14. Presenting Three rather old Hungarian speakers (BEAG HOX 22, 41, 51) and three rather new electronics from the West: TX-540L tuner, SX-202L receiver and SA-540 amplifier, all from the house of Pioneer. 15. Between Takes (Forecast)
